چکیده

Five benzoferrocenyl phosphine ligands with the phosphorus atom attached to the 5-position of the benzoferrocene and some ligand-Mo(CO)5 complexes were prepared and fully characterized; the structure of one ligand was confirmed by X-ray crystallography. These ligands were applied in palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation and Suzuki coupling of chlorobenzene with phenylboronic acid. Results were compared with those reported previously using ligands having the phosphorus atom attached to the 4-position of benzoferrocene. This structural modification resulted in an increase of activity of the ligands in allylic alkylation reaction but a decrease of activity in Suzuki coupling reactions. The underlying reasons are analyzed with the help of X-ray single crystal determined structures and CO stretching frequencies in the IR spectra of complexes between the ligands and Mo(CO)5.

Ferrocenyl bis-phosphine ligands bearing sulfinyl, sulfonyl or sulfenyl groups: applications in asymmetric hydrogenation and allylic alkylation reactions

A new series of chiral ferrocenyl bis-phosphine ligands have been synthesized. Elements of planar and central chirality have been incorporated into a ferrocene backbone through sulfinyl, sulfonyl and sulfenyl groups at the ortho-position to the phosphines. The effectiveness of these ligands has been demonstrated in Rh-catalyzed hydrogenations and Pd-catalyzed allylic alkylations. 2005 Elsevier ...

Solid-phase synthesis of chiral 3,4-diazaphospholanes and their application to catalytic asymmetric allylic alkylation.

Functionalized chiral diazaphospholanes ligate to a variety of transition metals, yielding chiral, catalytically active, metal complexes. Previous work has established that amino acid derivatization of the carboxyl groups of (R,R)-N,N'-phthaloyl-2,3-(2-carboxyphenyl)-phenyl-3,4-diazaphospholane (1) yields phosphines that are excellent ligands for palladium-catalyzed asymmetric allylic alkylatio...
